The walk takes place within the Espino Blanco Biological Reserve which is located in North Verbena 8 km north from Turrialba city, at 1100 meters above sea level. The reserve is dedicated to the conservation of the flora and fauna of the region. There are five different paths amid an impressive primary forest where we can see and hear some birds and mammals as well as the rich diversity of flora that hosts the site. The hike is led by a local guide, knowledgeable about the area, who will explain each path’s story to enrich your tour.
Recommendations: Light clothing, insect repellent, sunscreen, walking shoes, water and camera.
